John Armstrong has reviewed the recently released The Case for ChristrThe Movie on DVD. He gives it high marks as a film and as a DVD, which has several interesting sounding extra features.
It sounds like a fairly boring documentary, but I hope that they managed to get some of the more engaging parts of the book translated well to the screen.
I read this book years ago, and, if they simply video the interviews from that are described in the book, it would be an effective, if dry, movie. Good christian documentaries need to learn from the bad ones, which cover up their poor research and lack of "facts" with flashy effects and dramatic music.

I have seen it and I thought it was quite good. It was not like a movie per se. It was a documentary unless they have shot feature film and I don't know about it. Again movies are highly subjective and appeal to the taste of person's mental state at the time. It is harder to build a film market without the backing of regular finance at one's disposal. It is one of the reasons why I admire Tyler Perry so much. He built a very strong audience from his stage plays and then successfully transition into movies with that audience following. A great strategy. I sense that many Christian filmmakers do not like talking about him. I think it is out of envy more so than anything. Instead humbling themselves and asking the Lord to show them what He wants them to do.

I have produced similar videos in Punjabi, the language in which the Second anointed Christ Nanak Dev Ji preached Sikhism or Real Islam. Remember that a Gurmukh is a True Mussallman of the type of Bhagat Kabir Ji, Pir Mian Mir Ji, etc but not these Mohammedans who proclaim they to be Mussallmans. They are mostly Kafirs or infidels. A Sikh being a student of spiritual knowledge, he is perceived by what comes out of his mouth and not by his turban and beard.
